THE ACT OF REMEMBRANCE

This installation reflects on how memory is stunted by loss and the profound of memory that exist for Black Americans. It incorporates light and mirror to evoke remembrance. The mirrored pieces symbolize fragmented memory, while the light fosters calm and reflection. Viewers are invited to engage with the work in deep contemplation, piecing together their own broken memory into cohesive narrative to form new connections.
